Grand Canyon South Rim
Tour Overview
Experience the magnificence of the Grand Canyon South Rim on a planned journey from Las Vegas. Traveling through northern Arizona, the tour follows a portion of historic Route 66, offering a glimpse into classic Americana with a stop in the town of Seligman, home to Angel & Vilma Delgadillo’s Original Route 66 Gift Shop. Guests will have time to explore, stretch their legs, and enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere of this legendary roadway while visiting longtime local friends who have helped preserve the spirit and history of Route 66.
Continuing north, the journey reaches the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, home to some of the most expansive and recognizable views in the entire park. Guests will enjoy approximately 1.5 hours at Mather Point, one of the most famous viewpoints along the rim, offering wide panoramic vistas and unforgettable photo opportunities overlooking the canyon’s immense depth and layered rock formations.
The tour then continues along the rim to visit three historic lodges built directly on the edge of the canyon—El Tovar Hotel, Bright Angel Lodge, and Kachina Lodge—each offering its own unique perspective and connection to the park’s rich history. Guests will have approximately 1.5 hours to explore the area, visit scenic overlooks, browse gift shops, and relax at Bright Angel Lodge, which features a full-service bar and restaurant, live music at select times, and a classic lodge atmosphere that has welcomed visitors for generations.
A restroom stop is included in Kingman on the return journey, ensuring a comfortable and well-paced travel experience throughout the day.
This South Rim tour offers a balanced combination of history, scenic beauty, and relaxed exploration—designed to give guests ample time to experience the Grand Canyon’s most iconic viewpoints while traveling comfortably and safely in a small-group setting.
